Smoothies are one of my favorite snacks, however we must be mindful of the ingredients otherwise it can become more of a dessert or shake. I recommend no more than 2-3 servings of fruit per smoothie. Also, add a healthy fat such as 1 tablespoon nut butter, coconut, flax oil or avocado. Unsweetened Nut milks are the best base or water if there are allergy concerns. Try to avoid fruit juices due to the high sugar content.
